1979 - Deborah worked as the lab technician for Plenty in Guatemala,
monitoring for parasites in volunteers and contaminants in drinking water.

In 1980 The Farm and Plenty International launched a free ambulance service in the South Bronx.

In the early 1980's, The Farm's residents were still living in tents and overcrowded, substandard housing.

A restructuring of The Farm's economic system in the fall of 1983 allowed it to survive and ultimately thrive.

The Kids To The Country Program brings children from homeless shelters down to The Farm to experience nature and the joy to be found in working together, just one of many charitable works the community's that embodies its core philosophy of working to make a difference in the world.
